This pair of long socks is thick enough to keep you warm in winters than what you see in picture. They are available in Socks Dreams.com. They can be stretched fully over your thighs but I do not know whether they will last long up. When new, these socks stay where they are pulled but later they start slipping down to your ankles.
These socks will help you to wear short clothes in winters too. However, I hope this pair does not turn to be a disappointment :(
